One of the first steps towards a circular economy was taken 25 years ago with the start of the legal producer responsibility.
The collection of three billion kilograms of electrical waste over the past 25 years shows the effectiveness of this system. Together we will continue this, not only for the current, but also for future generations.
Stichting OPEN employs more than 60 employees who work together on a daily basis on their core tasks. With their expertise, they are committed to organizing and improving the collection and recycling of waste electrical appliances, lamps and batteries, thereby contributing to the responsible processing of these products and reducing their ecological footprint.

Appliances, lamps and batteries are a rapidly growing waste stream, also internationally. With its expertise, Stichting OPEN can make a meaningful contribution to the public debate, not only about the circular economy and raw materials, but also about how the public can be included in the transition.
Stichting OPEN is there for the producers and other partners in the chain of discarded appliances, lamps and batteries. The interests of producers are represented through the organizations listed below. If you are a producer or importer in a specific industry, be sure to join one (or more) of these organizations.
