Reporting responsibility
Thank you for completing the check. Your company does not have to comply with producer responsibility in the Netherlands. This means that you have no legal obligation to take care of batteries and accumulators in the waste phase.
However, you do have the option of taking over the reporting responsibility from your Dutch resellers. This allows you to report all battery declarations of your products within the Netherlands at once. If you decide to use this option, send us an Excel file with your Dutch resellers, for whom you will do the battery declarations, and their address details.
Registration with Stichting OPEN
Because it is not easy to meet this legal obligation individually, Stichting OPEN offers support through a collective system. Click here to fill in the registration form and Excel file and send them to us by email together with a recent extract from the Chamber of Commerce. Registration is free of charge.
After confirming your registration, you will receive additional information by email to join one or more management plans, including:
- Stichting OPEN for portable and industrial batteries.
- Stichting EPAC for electric bicycle batteries.
